Shipping and Installation Instructions
Shipping Information
Tracking Your Door:
We will notify you once your door has been shipped and inform you as to what freight carrier we have used. A tracking number will be included in this information. Once the door has arrived, the freight company will call you to schedule a time to deliver your door.
How Your Door Will Be Packaged:
You can expect your door to arrive on a motor freight carrier. Dealing with a motor freight carrier is different than using UPS, FEDEX or the Postal Service. When your product arrives, expect it to be heavy and bulky. Door units can weigh up to 1000 pounds in their crate. Often, door units are easier to manage once removed from their crate so you might want to uncrate immediately after removing your door from the truck. A driver has been known to be of more assistance if you are to offer them some financial consideration, but this is not always the case.
Shipping Damage:
Inspect shipments thoroughly upon arrival and prior to signing the receipt. Damaged shipments should be refused or received with notation of apparent damage.
We will replace any damaged doors in prompt fashion. Our normal lead time to replace a damaged door is 4 weeks. Very rarely are there any issues unless an item is damaged in transit. If you are unsure of what you are ordering or what you want, we strongly encourage you to contact us at ( 773-750-1038) during office hours and you should reach someone immediately, if not we are quick in our response time. We want you to know that problem situations do take precedent over new orders so please be patient with us in these situations.
Delivery Time-Frame:
Stock door slab orders ship in 7 working days. Pre-hung unfinished door units ship in 5-6 weeks. Factory Pre-finished Doors may require up to 7 weeks for delivery. Delivery times may be longer due to quantity, or holidays.
